Cute little Pikachu!

Cute Little Pikachu!

My daughter is obsessed with Pokemon. She loves it along with most of the other children right about now, what with Pokemon Go coming out and what not. She asked for a Pikachu this Christmas but it turns out finding a cheap one is rather difficult so I decided I just needed to break out the yarn and make one up for her. Granted, I didn't finish it by Christmas and she was sad Santa didn't bring her one but my amazing husband told her that was because Santa knew mommy could make one. I came across this free pattern on Ravelry and got to work!

Rather easy pattern to follow, she has great pictures to help explain the complicated bits. My little one keeps telling me this little guy need a mouth and nose, might have to consider it. Would be an easy addition while in progress, a little embroidery thread and yea I could see it.

Things I did differently

There is one typo in the tail pattern on row 7, it reads, sc 2, skip 4, sc 2 (6) when it should read,
 sc 2, skip 4, sc 4 (6)

My kiddo sat up close next to me as a stitched limbs onto her precious Pikachu. She wouldn't leave its side and I'm honestly shocked I got a few pictures before she ran off with it to her room chanting "Pikachu!" as she went. A few days later and it is still in one piece and she is still enjoying it, she has informed me that now she needs a Squirtle to be friends with her Pikachu. Guess I better get on that.

This was a fun easy project that took me a few days total to work up and stitch together. Thanks for stop in and taking a look and enjoy!
